JUST A FEW REASONS TO CHOOSE A LOWERY

The Lowery is a proven product that has been CONSISTENT IN DESIGN.   Seldom does Lowery come out with a “newer and better” design of an existing product.   What you see today is the result of years of manufacturing. It won't change tomorrow.

The Lowery is the only ALL METAL (except for the cap on the cotter pin) stand.   There are no wooden, or plastic   parts to absorb the elements, age or to wear out.

It has very few moving parts.   The design is simple for a reason: THE FEWER MOVING PARTS, THE FEWER PARTS TO WEAR OUT.   This means that over the years you can expect little, if any, “down time” with your Lowery.

It has INCREDIBLE GRIP.   Nothing grips like a Lowery.   NOTHING.

We can supply   extra long “L” bars for any situation. We have even made one 27” x 27” for stitching in a waterbed!

The Lowery is   adjustable horizontally and vertically.   It is very easy to turn work to the reverse side.

It works just as well for left handed people as people who are right handed.

Lowery uses ‘L' LEVERS for adjustments.   There are no plastic knobs to turn.   This means you should have FIRMER GRIP WITH LESS EFFORT.   This lever system is particularly friendly to people with ARTHRITIS and other joint, tendon and muscle problems or disorders.

It has UNIVERSAL CLAMPS.   This means that you do not need to buy a special attachment for scroll bars, Q-snaps, Evertites, hoops, etc.   One clamp works for all.

There are exciting ADDITIONAL products that are OPTIONAL.

The Lowery is PORTABLE.   Simply place it in the car with no tear down.   One screw removes the base so it travels easily in a suitcase, etc. It is BALANCED for easy lifting.

It takes up very little room.   If living space is limited, Lowery is definitely the   top choice.

Our guarantee and service are unsurpassed.

ADDITIONALLY:

It is fun to dress at Christmas!   Just cover your Lowery with with a Holiday quilt so you won't be too tempted to stitch when you really don't have the time!

ENJOY!

FLOORSTAND – Both the stainless steel and the silver gray stands have the same design, which gives the user maximum flexibility. The height is adjustable by means of lever screws, and the clamp easily swivels on the “L” bar so the back of your work is easily accessible.   Assembly, or disassembly for travel, is extremely easy and is accomplished with one socket screw and an Allen Wrench.

SIDE CLAMP – This is the standard clamp and has the advantage of being able to clamp a stretcher bar at any point up or down the side. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT CLAMP CHOICE IS A MATTER OF EPRSONAL PREFERENCE.

CORNER CLAMP – This is the original clamp designed by Mr. Lowery and was intended to provide extra grip by clamp both a side and bottom of bars.   Some stitchers feel it is wonderful for very small pieces as it can successfully grip a corner with the rest of the remainder of the clamp being out of the way. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT CLAMP COICE IS A MATTER OF PERSONAL PREFERENCE.

STEEL LIGHT BRACKET - The light bracket attaches to the “L” bar and is designed to accommodate most lights, including lights with magnifiers.   The standard light bracket comes with 3 holes, one for mounting on the “L” bar and 2 additional that may be used for mounting a light or the Accessory (Comb) bracket.   A Steel Light Bracket with 4 holes can be special ordered.   You must choose either Silver Gray or SS for your stand.

ASSESSORY (COMB) BRACKET – This items fits into one of the holes in the STEEL LIGHT BRACKET and is designed to hold needles, scissors, thimbles, metallic thread   spools, etc. The added comb helps in the organization of threads, or tames unruly orts.   You must have a STEEL LIGHT BRACKET to use the Accessory (Comb) Bracket.

MAGNETIC BOARD HOLDER aka THE PATTERN   (CHART) HOLDER – This accessory is designed to hold a magnetic board.   With magnets you can then attach your instructional materials or chart. It can be mounted on EITHER the horizontal OR vertical part of the “L” Bar.   The board most used is the La Ran magnetic board.

EXTRA LONG “L” BAR – This is designed to give additional reach to help you be more comfortable in your favorite chair or in bed.    “L” bars can be order longer on EITHER the horizontal OR the vertical, OR both.   You must choose either Silver Gray or SS for your stand.

DAISY DISH CENTER MOUNT (CM) – This high quality dish slides onto the long end of the   “L” bar.   This six depressions can hold needles, threads, orts, etc.   By adjusting tension, the dish can be rotated.   Optional liners, especially good for beading, can be added.   Add LITTLE SQUARE MAGNETS to create a great needle park.

DAISY DISH COVERED – This dish is designed with a cover for safe keeping and transportation of stitching necessities.   It can be mounted EITHER ON THE HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL   of the “L” bar. Both Daisy Dishes are wonderful for organizing, and both can be used AT THE SAME TIME and IN MULTIPLES.

STAINLESS STEEL MAGNETIC CLIP – This stainless clip has magnetic qualities and attaches to the stainless clamp enabling owners of the stainless model to use magnets or other magnetic products such as the MAGNETIC SCISSORS FOB.

TABLE ADAPTER KIT (TAK)   This creates a table top   portable alternative to the floorstand, and is especially good for classes and traveling.   It is a shortened version of the floorstand and is assembled by using the kit plus the base and clamp from your floorstand.   To avoid repeated assembly, there is the option of purchasing both an additional base and clamp.

TABLE CLAMP – After much discussion, this product was redesigned, and you won't believe how small it is, and HOW and WHERE it clamps! Check pictures in the GALLERY for some suggestions on where to clamp!

SUGGESTIONS FOR LOWERY OWNERS

Your shop owner is your best friend!   Ask her ( or him ) for advice on using this product.   If you lose your cotter pin (the pin that   goes through a hole in the upright that holds the “L” bar) or the Allen wrench (used to secure and tighten the base to the upright), let them know.   These are easily replaced for you.

When assembling your stand, please be sure that the Lowery logo is on the top .   If it is not, you have the base upside down and the stand will rock!

These are extremely sturdy workstands, but please remember that when transporting them,   care should be taken with the comb accessory bracket.

If the hole for the light bracket seems snug, please try turning over the bracket so the bottom becomes the top.

This is a highly specialized stand.   If you should accidentally unscrew the locking “L” screws so that they drop out, please take extra care putting them in so you do not strip the threads.   Should you   strip the threads, please contact your shop and they will contact me.

This stand locks in place metal-to-metal, so it generally is not necessary to tighten as you would with a knob. Be gentle .   Save your strength for stitching!

There generally are no right or wrong ways to use this stand.   On the clamp, you may have the tightening screw either on the top or on the bottom.   Some people prefer it on the top, but others like it on the bottom!   It is personal preference.   If the flat surface of the clamp is on the top, that surface can be used to secure instructions, etc., with magnets.   What you want to remember is comfort.   Use it the way it is most comfortable for you.

Magnets and magnetic fobs can be used on the top or bottom of the clamp.

If the base will not fit under your waterbed frame (etc.), turn the base a quarter turn and add a weight for stability. Be creative, but be safe!

On occasion you may want to lubricate the working parts of your stand.   Take a worn shirt or lightweight material and gently clean the threads of the clamp. I then apply a drop or two of sewing machine oil and turn the screw up and down. The objective is to spread the oil across the threads to insure smooth action of the mechanical parts .

The Covered Daisy Dish can be used on either the horizontal part (behind the clamp) or the vertical part of the “L” bar. You can use one on each section of the “L” bar, if you wish!   You can also tier the Daisy Dish Center Mount, so you have two or three, for special projects!   Use the top of the Covered Daisy Dish to hold orts, etc. Try new and different ways.   You will come up with the way that works best for the way you stitch.

Be creative in the way you use your attachments.   If it works for you , do it that way!

Owners of the stainless steel workstands can use magnetic products on their clamps if they purchase the Stainless Steel Magnetic Clip.   See your shop owner !
