Just a few good reasons to choose Evertites

You will not have to stretch your canvas when you tack it on the bars.   Stretching will be done later with The “T” Tool.

You will not have to remove your canvas from the bars to restretch it.   It will be done quickly with The “T” Tool.

When you want to find a size of a stretcher bar, simply look on the end where it is clearly marked.

The bars are marked at the center points so that you can easily find the center of the canvas.   This also aids in squaring the canvas when you when you first tack it on.

If you have arthritis or other joint, tendon or ligament problems, you will love these bars!   Everything has been designed with these problems in mind, even down to The “T” Tool with its “friendly” grip.

Yur finished pieces will look so good that your work probably will not need blocking!

Because there is no “play” or sag in your canvas, you will find that you will finish more stitching in a shorter length of time!

You will be able to have bars made for your very larger projects.   Evertite even makes bars 30” and higher with the same great tension.

You probably won't need to worry about overdyed threads bleeding because you probably won't need to wet block your piece since there is little, if any, distortion.

You can use your bars over and over again.

EVERTITE STRETCHER BARS

At last we can offer stretcher bars that you can tighten without removing the tacks! These bars are very smooth and of a durable wood designed to be used multiple times.   They have a center mark on each bar so you can quickly and easily find the center of any ground fabric.   Best of all, they are adjustable 4 ways to compensate for fabric sag both vertically and horizontally.   The adjustment mechanism is fully enclosed within each bar.   Adjustment is made with a tool that is sold separately, so you can easily tighten or loosen your fabric as needed.

WAYS TO PUT TOGETHER OR ASSEMBLE EVERTITES

There are many ways to assemble Evertite Stretcher Bars, but the following seem to be the more popular.

If, for example, you want to assemble bars that are 8” x 10”, proceed as follows:
1) Unwrap the bars and lay them in a row with the hardware and the patent marks FACING UP.
2) Then be sure the bars are laid out in opposites order, 8” – 10” – 8” – 10” in a long row one after the other.
3) Next, check the patent markings. They should read right side up, upside down, right side up, upside down
4) Put them together in order to form a straight strip.
5) Lastly, turn up the bars to form the rectangle by assembling the final corner.
6) Be sure the corners are “square.”

The following is an alternative way:
1) Unwrap the bars and put the 8” bars on the top and on the bottom with the patent marks FACING IN and TOWARD THE CENTER.
2) Next, turn both of these bars so the patent marks FACES UP.
3) Place the second set of bars, in this case the 10”, in the vertical (left and right) position. Again have the patent marks FACING THE CENTER.
4) Turn these bars so that the patent marks FACES DOWN.
5) Put the bars together
6) \You will know that the bars are assembled correctly if all the hardware is inside the bars and if opposite bars have patent marks that are opposite. IF THE TOP AND BOTTOM BARS HAVE PATENT MARKS FACING UP, THE OTHER TWO BARS MUST HAVE PATENT MARKS FACING DOWN.
7) Be sure the corners are “square.”

THE   “T'' TOOL

This is the tool that you need to tighten the EVERTITE BARS, and is designed to be used over and over.   It was chosen because of its high quality, and because the “T” grip is so friendly to people who have arthritis, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, etc.

MAGNET DOCK WITH MAGNET

This accessory attaches to the EVERTITE BARS and has an attached magnet that is polarized on the ends rather than the middle.   If you use a clip magnifier (such as the Daylight, you can use one side of the magnet and dock to hold the magnifier while still using the opposite side to hold needles, etc. See DUAL POLARITY MAGNET.

GRANDE TACKS

Grande Tacks are large head, high quality tacks designed to give superior grip on stretcher bars.   They will work with magnetic tools designed to attach and remove tacks.   They should be easier to use if you have arthritis, etc.
